Yes — discretion is built into how the platform works, not added on top.

• Your profile is never listed publicly like a social feed.
• Your contact details are shared with an employer only once they shortlist you.
• You choose what's visible in Settings → Privacy, including whether you appear in employer searches.
• Our emails carry no explicit content, so nothing sensitive sits in your inbox subject lines.

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text), and documents you upload are kept private to your account and the employers you apply to.

You can review exactly what's shared in Settings → Privacy, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

Open any job and click Apply. The form walks you through four short steps — your details, experience, availability and a final confirmation — and you can Save as draft at any point and finish later.

You'll get an email confirming the application, and you can track its progress from your dashboard.

Not always. Many roles are open to newcomers and say so in the listing — look for the experience level on each job.

Where experience is required, the employer states it in the job description. If you're just starting out, our Advice & Guides section covers what to expect and how to present yourself well.

Every job is reviewed by our team before it appears on the site, and employers go through a verification process. Employers who have completed it show a Verified badge on their listings.

If something still doesn't look right, please report it — we review every report.

Create an employer account, then click Post a Job. You'll add the role details, location, pay and what you're looking for. You can save it as a draft and come back before submitting.

Once submitted, it goes to our team for review.

Every listing is checked by our moderation team before it's published — usually within 24 hours.

You'll be notified as soon as it's approved. If we can't approve it, we'll tell you why so you can fix it and resubmit.

Yes. Go to Manage Jobs to edit, pause or close a listing at any time.

Please note that editing key details on a live job sends it back for a quick re-review before the changes go public — this keeps every listing on the site trustworthy. Pausing or closing takes effect immediately.

All applications land in your Applications dashboard. From there you can review candidates, shortlist them, schedule an interview with a date, time and location, and mark the outcome.

The candidate is notified at each step, so nobody is left waiting without an update.

Open a support request from Help & Support in your dashboard and our team will pick it up — you'll get an email when we reply.

Yes — every single one. No listing appears on the site until a moderator has approved it, and any significant edit to a live job goes back for re-review.

Listings that break our Content Policy are rejected.

No. DiscreetCareers is a recruitment platform, not an adult content site. Listings describe roles, pay and requirements — explicit images and explicit content aren't permitted anywhere on the platform and are removed during moderation.

Please do. Use Report a Concern, or the report option on any job or employer profile.

Every report is handled confidentially by our safety team. We ask for an email so we can follow up if needed, but your identity is never shared with the employer and they are never told who raised it.

Yes — strictly. You must be 18 or over to create an account, apply for work or post a job, and you confirm your age when you apply.

Any account found to belong to someone under 18 is removed immediately. See our 18+ Policy.

No. Your contact details are never shown publicly and are never listed on the site.

They're shared with an employer only once they shortlist you for a role — so applying doesn't hand your details to anyone. You control the rest in Settings → Privacy.

Click Apply for Work to join as a candidate, or Post a Job to join as an employer. You'll enter your email, verify it with a code we send you, and set a password.

It takes about a minute, and you can complete your profile afterwards.

Click Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We'll email you a verification code that lets you set a new one.

For your security, changing your password signs you out on all other devices.

Update your details any time in Settings.

To close your account, go to Settings → Security → Danger Zone. You can deactivate temporarily (just sign back in to reactivate), or request deletion. Deletion is reviewed by our team and then has a 30-day grace period — you can cancel any time before it completes. After that your profile, listings and applications are removed from the platform.
