Employer Terms
These terms apply to any business advertising roles on Discreet Careers. They sit alongside our general Terms of Service and cover the parts that are specific to employers.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. Who These Terms Are With
The platform is operated by EE Entertainment Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14156026), registered office: 2a Hallcar Street, Sheffield, S4 7JY. “We” and “us” mean that company; “you” means the business holding the employer account.
Creating an employer account or publishing a listing means you accept these terms on behalf of that business.
2. What You Confirm
- You are 18 or over and authorised to act for the business you name
- The business exists and the details you gave us are accurate
- You are entitled to recruit for every role you advertise
- Every vacancy you publish is genuine and currently open
- You will keep your listings and company details up to date
If any of this stops being true — you leave the business, it closes, or your authority to recruit ends — tell us and stop publishing.
3. Verification
Verification is a check on information you supply at a point in time. It is not an endorsement, an audit, or a guarantee to anyone about how you behave.
You must not describe yourself as “approved by” or “endorsed by” Discreet Careers. You may state that you are a verified employer on the platform.
We may re-check at any time, and we will withdraw the badge if the facts behind it change or we cannot confirm them again.
4. Your Listings
Every listing must meet the posting standards, which form part of these terms. In particular the work location, the pay and its basis, and the nature of the role must be accurate.
You keep ownership of your listing content. You give us permission to publish, format and display it on the platform and in search results while it is live, and to keep a record of it afterwards for moderation and dispute purposes.
Listings expire. We may remove one at any time if it breaches these terms, and we may pause your listings while we investigate a concern.
5. Applicant Data — Your Duties
When a candidate applies to you, you receive personal data about them and you become responsible for it in your own right. This is the obligation employers most often overlook, so it is set out plainly:
- Use an application only to consider that person for that role
- Do not add applicants to marketing lists without asking them
- Do not pass applicant details to anyone else without a lawful reason
- Keep applications secure, and only where they are needed
- Delete them when the recruitment decision is done
- Answer a candidate who asks what you hold about them
Misusing applicant data ends the account, and may be reportable to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
6. What You Must Not Do
Beyond the posting standards, you must not charge a candidate any fee at any stage, use the platform to advertise services rather than employment, contact candidates for anything other than the role they applied to, or attempt to identify candidates who have not applied to you.
7. Fees
Posting is free during launch and there is no payment step in the product today. If that changes we will tell you by email before anything becomes chargeable, and nothing already published will become chargeable retrospectively. See Pricing.
8. What We May Do
- Refuse or remove a listing that breaks the posting standards
- Pause listings while we look into a concern
- Withdraw the verified badge if the facts behind it change
- Suspend or close an account for repeated or serious breaches
- Change these terms, telling you before the change takes effect
Where we act, we tell you why, and you can challenge it through Appeals & Suspensions.
9. What We Do Not Promise
We are a place to advertise roles. We do not promise applications, a number of applications, suitable candidates, or a hire. We do not employ candidates and we are not party to any arrangement you reach with one.
We take reasonable care to keep the platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
10. Ending The Agreement
You can close your account at any time; doing so withdraws your live listings. We may close an account that breaches these terms, or with reasonable notice if we stop offering the service.
Sections 5, 9 and this one survive the account being closed.
11. Changes And Law
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email to the account address before they take effect, and continuing to use the platform afterwards means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
